BCC Student Trustee Invited to Lunch with SUNY Chancellor Zimpher
Willie Murray , our student elect to sit on the Board of Trustees, was invited by SUNY Chancellor Nancy Zimpher to join her for lunch! On November 29, armed with a gift bag full of treats and sweets (much of which was provided by Student Assembly, Student Activities and EOP), Willie went to Albany to see the Chancellor. They discussed many things, including BCC. Chancellor Nancy’s follow-up letter to Willie states: “ I just wanted to tell you what a pleasure it was to meet you…thank you for the bag of BCC goodies. That was an incredibly thoughtful gesture and I appreciate it. Also I am pleased with your interest in SUNY Advantage and your interest in helping us move ahead with it.”
As BCC continues to be recognized as a leading institution to be included in collaborative dialogues about the future of education on our campus, in our State, and beyond, we get confirmation that we have the right leaders in the right place for such a time as now!
